Course objectives:

The course is intended for the absolute beginners. The aim of this course is to prepare students for the target level A1- according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Requirements on student
|
Active participation in class, accomplishing homework tasks assigned throughout the semester, midterm test and final test (75% to pass).
Distance students:
- one tutorial per month

1. Introduction. Organization of the Classes. Greetings. Basic rules of the pronounciation in French. Dialog - Introducing. Conjugacy class 1, conjugating basic irregular verbs. French alphabet. Questions. Negation in French.
2. Numbers 0-10. Gender. Articles. Basic phrases of Politness. Dialog - first meeting - basic information about myself.
3. General subject. Questions. What I like and dislike. Plural forms of Nouns and Adjectives. Conjugation of selected irregular verbs.
4. Leisure activities. Conjugating selected irregular verbs. Prepositions with articles. Stressed pronouns. Near future. Modal verbs. Inviting and invitations.
5. Perfect: introduction. Perfect: in detail. Numbers 11-100. Time and dates.
6. Diary. Description of events in past. Revision.
7. Midterm test. Travelling. Comparaison. Demonstrative dependent pronouns.
8. Travelling. Possessive dependent pronouns. Conjugating selected irregular verbs.
9. Food and eating. Menu. Partitive article. Using of articles in French.
10. Questions, answears. Possessions and belongings. French habits: eating.
